The Bureau of Investigative Journalism is an independent not-for-profit organisation which, according to their website, "pursue research, investigations, reporting and analysis which is of public benefit by undertaking in depth research into the governance of public, private and third sector organisations and their influence." The Covert Drone War investigation is perhaps their most known project. Their website provides a full dataset of all known US drone attacks in Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen, and Afghanistan and a database with over 700 names of civilians and combatants killed in drone strikes in the tribal areas of north west Pakistan. Over the past decade at least 2,400 people have been killed by CIA in such attacks.
