Nepal Civil War

Website language: English
Qoute from site: "The 10-year conflict in Nepal between 1996 and 2006 left thousands of families to deal with tragedies for the rest of their lives; thousands were killed, while many families are still anxiously waiting for news on the fate or whereabouts of their loved ones who went missing. International humanitarian law requires the authorities to take all feasible measures to account for people who have gone missing in connection with a conflict, and to provide their families with all the information they may have on their fate and whereabouts."

"This 8th edition of the Book of Missing Persons in Nepal was prepared on 15 July 2015 and it contains the names of 1343 persons who were reported missing by the family members, to the ICRC or NRCS. The list only includes names of missing persons whose families are still seeking information on the fate and whereabouts of their loved ones and want the ICRC to follow up their cases. The names are listed by district of residence of the missing person’s closest relative."
