This war memorial was built to honour the Soviet soldiers that fell in the battles against the German army in the Second World War. It was located at the 17 June Street very close to the German parliament - the Reichstag.

Sowjetisches Ehrenmal, the memorial to the Soviet forces, which is located in the heart of the Treptower Park close to former East Berlin’s embassy quarters, is perhaps one of Berlin’s most spectacular memorials. It was commissioned by the Soviet Union to be a memorial for the Red Army soldiers that fell in the battle of Berlin and was built in 1948.
Memorial to Polish Soldiers and German Anti-Fascists in Berlin
This memorial was dedicated in 1972 to honour the Polish soldiers and German resistance that were killed in World War II. It is located at Virschow Strasse in the Friedrichain Park in former East Berlin.
